Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to join our team at JAYCO Recruitment. As a Project Director, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating construction and commercial activities on individual projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client and Public Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and the public on site.
  • Construction Phase Plan: Develop and monitor the construction phase plan throughout the project.
  • Tender Preliminaries: Review and consider tender preliminaries against actual requirements on a monthly basis.
  • Procurement Schedules: Collaborate with the Site Manager to produce procurement schedules and IRS.
  • Contractual Documentation: Request, collate, and distribute all contractual documentation required.
  • Site Traffic Management Plan: Develop a site traffic management plan.
  • SWMP: Produce a Site Waste Management Plan.
  • Quality and Best Practices: Ensure best practices and quality are maintained throughout the project.
  • Liaison with Central Support Services: Liaise with all central support services.
  • Site Activities and Daily Work Operations: Oversee and control site activities and daily work operations.
  • Site Team Management: Supervise and manage other members of the site team.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrate a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Microsoft Suite: Proficient in using Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project.
  • Programmes, Drawings, and Technical Specifications: Ability to read and accurately interpret programmes, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Supply Chain Management: Manage the supply chain, direct employees, and consultants.
  • Liaison with Customers and Supply Chain: Proactively liaise with customers and the supply chain.
  • Qualifications: Minimum relevant level 4 qualification (HNC/NVQ4 etc) or equivalent.
  • CSCS Card: Hold an appropriate CSCS card.
  • SMSTS Certificate: Possess an SMSTS certificate.
  • First Aid at Work Certificate: Hold a First Aid at Work certificate.
  • Valid Driving Licence: Possess a valid driving licence.
