Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Goal Setting: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' abilities and collaborate with them to set realistic goals for regaining independence in daily activities.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop personalized plans to address patients' specific needs, including:
    • Training in Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADL)
    • Recommendations for adaptive equipment and technology
    • Modifications to home and work environments
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Implement various techniques, including:

  • Collaboration and Documentation: Work with interdisciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, and maintain accurate records of patient assessments, treatments, and progress.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Registration with the relevant professional body
  • Experience working with patients with a range of conditions and abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
