Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Physiotherapist to join our team in the Acute Medical Unit at Tunbridge Wells Hospital. As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing therapy assisted discharge services, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement therapy assisted discharge services, working closely with our multidisciplinary team
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their rehabilitation needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Lead and manage a team of physiotherapists, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimal patient outcomes
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to therapy assisted discharge services

Person Specification
  • Registered Physiotherapist with a strong background in acute medical rehabilitation
  • Experience in leading and managing a team of physiotherapists
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required
