Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Specialist to join our team at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and expertise in venepuncture and/or cannulation.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, document, deliver, and evaluate care plans from admission through to discharge/transfer, discussing this with the patient, their family, and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Set goals for each identified nursing issue and encourage/teach other nursing staff to do the same.
- Help patients achieve set goals through care planning.
- Provide skilled care and expertise in venepuncture and/or cannulation.
- Provide education to patients on the care and management of central venous access devices and adopt a problem-solving approach to managing complications with all vascular access devices.
- Experience of MS Excel and MS Word, including creating and using spreadsheets.
- Able to perform basic training.
- Experience in a similar role or relevant clinical experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flu vaccination is a requirement for this role.
