Dental Nurse Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Dental Nurse to contribute to the success of Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. This role offers a chance to develop existing skills and provide exceptional patient care in a variety of settings.
Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Dental Nurse, you will assist clinicians in delivering high-quality patient care, including:
- Special care dentistry
- Inhalation and IV Sedation
- Orthodontics
- School surveys such as BASCD
- General Anaesthesia
- Domiciliary visits
You will work closely with the team to ensure seamless delivery of care and support the development of inhalation sedation training, CPD, and post-certificate funding.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- GCSEs or equivalent in literacy and numeracy
- National Certificate in Dental Nursing/Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing
Desirable criteria include post-certificate qualifications, such as sedation, radiography, or oral health, as well as experience in dental chair-side assistance, cross-infection control, and supervising trainees and unqualified staff.
You will be required to register with the General Dental Council and have a positive attitude towards working in a team environment.
