Position Overview

An exciting opportunity exists for the role of Operations Support Manager within the Support team at NDY. This position is pivotal in fostering robust relationships with Project Leaders and Office Executives, delivering proactive assistance across essential operational domains.

Collaboration with Project Leaders

Assist Project Leaders with technical project support, overseeing project finances, resource allocation, and adherence to quality standards, utilizing management insights to guide stakeholder decisions.

Team Leadership

Manage a high-performing project administration team, both locally and remotely, ensuring effective support for client-facing project leaders through clear task delegation.

Compliance Coordination

Support the Group SHEQ Manager in upholding compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.

Bid Coordination

Work closely with the 'Pursuits' Executive to lead and assist in the proposal development for significant multi-disciplinary bids.

Key Challenges:

  • Navigating intricate stakeholder landscapes to secure project success.
  • Addressing urgent and sensitive matters while balancing competing priorities.
  • Ensuring SHEQ compliance throughout projects and operations.
  • Understanding operational management, project management, revenue forecasting, and client priorities to assist stakeholders and guide project leaders in delivering successful projects that meet quality standards and align with the business objectives.

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience in operational project support within a professional services environment, ideally in construction or engineering.
  • Strong grasp of operational management, project management, revenue forecasting, resource planning, client priorities, and financial mechanisms to influence stakeholders and guarantee project quality.
  • Exceptional skills in diplomacy, influence, and negotiation.
  • Relevant management experience with a focus on team leadership is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated project management expertise.
  • Strong financial and commercial insight.
  • Excellent planning, prioritization, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in business management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with Work Health and Safety management systems and knowledge of quality and environmental systems.
  • Auditing skills are a plus.
