Main Responsibilities
The Head of Resourcing & Workforce Services will leverage extensive expertise in healthcare recruitment and HR processes to spearhead the development of innovative resourcing strategies and oversee a premier HR transactional service.
The successful candidate will act as the Trust's lead for resourcing, providing strategic, business-oriented guidance to nursing and allied health professional leadership teams, as well as other organizational leaders. You will be responsible for enhancing the UHSussex employer brand and ensuring a robust market presence both locally and internationally.
The key responsibilities include:
- Leading talent acquisition and resourcing initiatives.
- Overseeing HR transactional services, including payroll support.
- Managing the recruitment of temporary staffing solutions.
- Driving workforce transformation in collaboration with clinical leaders.
- Leading resourcing components of workforce planning processes.

Person Specification
Experience/Qualifications
Essential Criteria
- Extensive in-house recruitment experience at a senior level.
- Proven success in leading a recruitment function.
- Experience in supporting senior leaders with resourcing plans.
- Master's degree in human resource management or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated success in delivering change and performance improvements.
- Experience in designing recruitment assessment methods.
- Experience in coaching and developing teams.
- Significant experience in permanent resourcing strategies within large organizations.
- MCIPD or equivalent professional experience in HR/Resourcing leadership.
Desirable Criteria
- Qualification in psychometric assessment.
- Previous experience in NHS resourcing.
- Experience managing an HR service center or similar service.
Skills/Knowledge
