We are seeking a qualified professional with a robust financial background who can deliver effective business support. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with at least 5 years of relevant experience or possess equivalent skills through experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Establish a strong reputation as a strategic business partner
• Oversee the organization's accounting and financial control functions
• Manage essential accounting processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and reporting initiatives
• Prepare local cash flow forecasts and financial statements
• Assist in financial planning and analysis to support strategic decision-making for leadership
• Handle monthly and year-end closing processes, as well as annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP
• Supervise our shared service provider
• Develop and maintain financial projection models to predict short-term and long-term business outcomes
• Advocate for data-driven decision-making and enhance reporting capabilities
• Collaborate with the group finance department to refine processes and internal controls
• Serve as the primary contact for local external auditors and tax authorities
• Manage accounts payable and bank statement reconciliations
• Oversee month-end closure activities
Candidate Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
• 8-10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in an accounting role
• Experience in an international business environment
• Familiarity with tax regulations affecting operational business
• Proficiency in SAP (FI/CO, SD) is advantageous
• Ability to cultivate strong relationships with senior management and key stakeholders
• Quick problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize competing projects
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively manage and influence team dynamics
• Fluency in English; knowledge of German is a plus
