Job Description

Chase Taylor Recruitment is seeking a seasoned Production Manager to join their esteemed client, a leading fenestration business, in their Powder Coating division.

The ideal candidate will possess current or recent experience as a powder coating production manager within a commutable distance to Birmingham.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the powder coating activity, ensuring the smooth operation of the supply and transportation process to meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Health and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment for all staff, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  2. Resource Planning: Plan and organize resources to meet customer demands, optimizing productivity and efficiency.
  3. KPI Development and Control: Develop, monitor, and control key performance indicators to drive business growth and improvement.
  4. Absence Management: Manage employee absence in accordance with company requirements, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement activities to optimize quality, service, and costs, equipment, and processes.
  6. Team Leadership: Lead and manage effective teams, maintaining morale and managing performance to meet company objectives.
  7. Training and Development: Create and deploy training programs to ensure staff are equipped with the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively.
  8. Performance Management: Manage performance concerns within teams, ensuring issues are addressed promptly and effectively.

Candidates' Requirements:

  1. Current or recent experience working as a Production Manager in powder coating, paint spraying, or metal finishing.
  2. Working knowledge of supply chain processes and stock management.
  3. Continuous improvement mindset.
  4. Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  5. Computer literacy.
  6. Strong knowledge of shop floor health and safety and safe working practices.
  7. Must currently reside in the UK.

Please note that this role may require occasional travel to other offices if necessary.
