Job Description

We are seeking a Business Developer for our United Kingdom Business Unit to nurture commercial and technical relationships with clients and broaden our business horizons geographically.

Reporting directly to the Country Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

  1. To create and develop new and profitable Solar, Wind, and Storage opportunities from identification to development phase.
  2. To evaluate the economic and technical feasibility of projects, managing greenfield, co-development, and M&A opportunities, and implement BD strategy in the region focusing on market analysis and project opportunity assessments.
  3. To play a key role in the origination of opportunities in the UK region, emphasizing analysis stage: country analysis, market intelligence, and support for preparation of internal and external documentation.
  4. To explore regional needs, gather specific regional market intelligence, and identify key topics of interest to incorporate in regional approach strategies.
  5. To help manage engineering studies, environmental impact assessment, and other technical staff in connection to projects.
  6. To manage and coordinate with all project stakeholders, as well as relationships with government bodies at all levels, co-developers, TSO/DSO, landowners, and consultants.
  7. To support project due diligence processes and project acquisition closings.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with:

  1. +3 years' experience in the UK renewable sector.
  2. BSc. Degree in Engineering, Finance, or related fields.
  3. Specialized master's degree or additional training on renewables is a plus.
  4. Employee must be already located in the United Kingdom and/or be legally eligible to work there.
  5. The job implies frequent domestic travel.
  6. Proficiency in Excel and accounting: prior financial modelling for energy or infrastructure projects and VBA experience will be valued.
  7. Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  8. Motivation, proactivity, teamwork, and communication.
  9. Knowledge of Spanish would be an advantage.
