Associate Director of Nursing Leadership Role

The Associate Director of Nursing will be part of a triumvirate team and will be jointly accountable for developing the direction of the collaboratives in partnership with the Clinical Chair and Service Manager, providing clinical expertise. This post holder will also be part of a clinical board structure with the remit of developing the long and short term aims of the services.
Main Responsibilities- Provide operational direction to all nurses within the collaboratives
- Be responsible for providing high quality patient focused care
- Ensure robust risk management and governance arrangements are in place
South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff. This training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. The programme aims to:
- Explore leadership within the NHS
- Promote Trust values and behaviours
- Develop your leadership effectiveness and skills
- Equip staff with the necessary knowledge and skills to lead and complete service improvements within the scope of your role
- Registered Nurse
- Management / leadership qualification or equivalent experience
- Teaching and assessing qualification
- Master's degree or equivalent experience
The post holder will be an integral part of the trust senior nursing team working with other Associate Directors of Nursing, Deputy Chief Nurses and Chief Nursing Officer. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills to drive towards developing a safety culture at South Tees.
