Job Summary:

Dunbar Education Recruitment Limited is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational journey of a pupil, providing tailored assistance to help them succeed academically and develop essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with teaching staff, parents, and other support professionals to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with classroom activities and assignments to ensure the pupil's progress and achievement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social skills, self-confidence, and emotional well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with the pupil, parents, and teaching staff to track and report on progress, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating successes.
  • Contribute to the development of a supportive and inclusive school culture, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress, attendance, and any relevant incidents or concerns.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months of experience working with children in an educational or support role, preferably in the UK.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and teaching staff.
  • Empathy, patience, and a passion for helping pupils succeed, with a commitment to promoting social justice and equality.
  • The ability to adapt to the unique needs of individual pupils, with a flexible and responsive approach to support.
