Key Responsibilities- Manage the Entire Work Order Cycle Process: Oversee the entire work order cycle process, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
- Assign Jobs and Work Areas: Assist in assigning jobs and work areas to service department employees based on their skills and knowledge.
- Ensure Accurate Invoicing: Verify that all accounts payable invoices utilize the purchase order system and are properly posted to the appropriate work order.
- Sell Service Labour and Parts: Sell service labour and parts to customers, ensuring that all technicians are highly productive and meet budgets and goals.
- Answer Customer Calls: Answer customer calls, assign and organize day-to-day workload within the service department.
- Ensure Warranty and Product Improvement Programs: Ensure that all service warranty and product improvement programs are completed and submitted to the warranty administrator within the required timeframe to receive maximum credit.
- Control Lost Time: Assist the service manager in controlling lost time to ensure the corporate goal of 10% is met.
- Schedule Service Department Trucking: Schedule all service department trucking as required and assist inter-departmentally as needed.
- Advise Service Manager of Customer Complaints: Advise the service manager of all customer complaints.
- Provide Performance Feedback: Assist in providing performance feedback for service technicians and staff to the service manager.
- Assist Service Manager: Assist the service manager in all aspects of the service department.
- General Understanding of Mechanical/Tech Terms: Possess a general understanding of mechanical/technical terms.
- Desktop Application Skills: Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
- Availability for Saturday Rotation and On-Call Program: Participation in Saturday rotation and on-call program will be required.
