Job Title: District Nurse Specialist

This is a permanent band 6 post as per Agenda for Change. The post holder will be required to work across the CSD and can be asked to cover other caseloads within the area.

The post holder will have a District Nursing qualification (degree or diploma) or be working towards a District nursing qualification and have relevant experience within community nursing. It is expected if the Advanced Clinical Examination (ACE) or Advanced Nurse Prescribing qualification is not currently held it will be completed in the first year of post.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with different professional groups. They should also have a good awareness of national policies and a willingness to take an active lead in the implementation of these policies locally.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.

The duties of this post require the successful candidate to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
