Position Overview
As a Patient Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals facing significant challenges related to eating disorders within our dedicated day unit.
Our program is designed to provide a comprehensive approach that includes group therapies, personalized meal support, and one-on-one sessions, all aimed at facilitating recovery and promoting community reintegration while minimizing the need for inpatient care.

Many of our patients come with complex histories and may present high physical risks. However, you will always work within a collaborative multi-disciplinary team, ensuring that you receive guidance and support in all decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to maintain effective communication, provide mutual support, and address any challenges that may affect the quality of patient care.
- Establishing a close working relationship with the Team Leader, Physical Health Lead Nurse, and all team members within the Acorn Day Unit.
- Participating in regular meetings with supervisors and senior clinicians to uphold high standards of practice.
