About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioural Support Specialist to join our team at Look Ahead Care & Support. As a Behavioural Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and behavioural needs to live full and active lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting individuals to develop independent living skills and participate in activities that promote their physical and emotional wellbeing.
  • Collaborating with a range of stakeholders, including social work, psychology, and commissioning teams, to ensure comprehensive support for our customers.
  • Developing and implementing personalized support plans that promote recovery, empowerment, and self-advocacy.
  • Providing emotional support and guidance to individuals, promoting their confidence and self-esteem.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a seamless and effective support service.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals with Autism, Challenging Behaviour, or learning disabilities.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to drive as part of support duties.
  • Experience of engaging vulnerable individuals in meaningful activities.
