Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to our nursing teams, ensuring that they are equipped to deliver exceptional patient care and meet the highest standards of clinical governance.
  • Develop and implement effective clinical governance systems and risk management strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients.
  • Work closely with our Trust Chief Nurse and other senior leaders to drive quality improvement and innovation across the organization.
  • Lead the development and implementation of transformation programs, including service change, operational process improvement, and cost reduction.
  • Build and develop high-performing multi-disciplinary teams, increasing staff engagement and motivation to improve performance.
Requirements
  • Extensive senior-level nursing leadership and managerial experience within an acute NHS Trust or comparable organization.
  • Strong understanding of national NHS policy and strategy as it relates to nursing staff, AHPs, and broader clinical workforce.
  • Experience of developing and implementing transformation programs, including service change, operational process improvement, and cost reduction.
  • Demonstrable success in building, developing, and inspiring high-performing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage different projects simultaneously with a high degree of autonomy in terms of decision-making and management of deadlines.
