Position Overview
This role is situated within the Financial Wellbeing & Revenues division.
We are looking to fill 1 full-time and 1 part-time position in the Benefits Team. In this capacity, you will be tasked with evaluating eligibility for Council Tax Reduction, Housing Benefit, Education Benefits, and Discretionary Housing Payments.
Your responsibilities will also encompass the assessment and invoicing of Council Tax.
Additionally, there is 1 full-time position available in the Council Tax Team, where your duties will include the evaluation, billing, and collection of Council Tax.
While a significant portion of your work can be conducted remotely, candidates must be prepared to travel to and attend office locations as necessary.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to managing their workload and possess prior experience working towards targets and deadlines. You should be able to illustrate your capability to navigate complex legislative requirements while processing benefit claims and assessing Council Tax obligations. Exceptional customer service skills are essential.
Experience in a financial or customer service environment, particularly in handling customer inquiries via phone and written correspondence, is required. Candidates should have educational qualifications equivalent to SCQF level 5, which includes National 5 or SVQ level 2 or Standard Grades at Credit level, or similar in a business or customer service context.
