Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will join the Finance team in London, collaborating closely with global teams, including the Centre of Excellence (COE) based in India. The role encompasses:
- Maintaining accurate financial records for EMEA corporate entities and other relevant entities for monthly group reporting in accordance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements.
- Overseeing payables and receivables across multiple corporate entities while coordinating with Blackstone's EMEA Treasury, Payroll, and Accounts Payable teams to manage associated cash flows.
- Preparing quarterly and ad hoc financial regulatory submissions to relevant financial authorities.
- Enhancing management information through various methods, including trend analyses and monthly updates on the activities of the pertinent entities.
- Assisting Blackstone's central Finance team in New York with inquiries related to group quarterly and annual reporting.
- Preparing statutory financial statements in compliance with local GAAP, audit documentation, and supporting the audit process.
- Compiling VAT and corporate tax returns, ensuring thorough understanding and collaboration with internal tax teams and external advisors for a comprehensive review process.
- Contributing to the preparation of materials for Board Meetings.
- Ensuring a robust control environment for all financial reporting to comply with relevant obligations, including Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
- Providing support for ad hoc analyses and contributing to various management reporting tasks as required.
- Actively participating in regional and domestic projects aimed at enhancing control mechanisms, streamlining processes, and improving system efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proficient in multi-currency accounting applications, such as Oracle, with familiarity in banking platforms considered advantageous.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Strong technical accounting expertise, with knowledge of US GAAP and FRS102, along with consolidation experience preferred.
- Familiarity with VAT, Corporate Tax, and Regulatory Reporting is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates strong quantitative and analytical abilities, intellectual curiosity, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Delivers precise, high-quality work within established deadlines.
- Highly organized, goal-oriented, and solution-focused, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- A self-starter who shows initiative and is willing to contribute where needed.
- Proactively builds relationships with team members.
