About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Specialist Pharmacist to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Specialist Pharmacist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality pharmacy services to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to allocated clinical areas, ensuring timely and accurate medicines reconciliation on admission, ongoing inpatient monitoring and review in accordance with agreed acuity and complexity requirements.
  • Optimise medications to deliver a safe and appropriate discharge service to patients.
  • Actively participate in organisational medicines safety and risk management initiatives, including audit and incident reporting.
  • Support the wider multidisciplinary team in the safe and effective use of medicines, and the promotion of the pharmacy service across the site.

Requirements

  • Vocational Masters degree (or equivalent) in Pharmacy.
  • Post-graduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy.
  • One year pre-registration training.
  • Successful completion of pre-registration examination.
  • Member of the GPhC.
  • Job related postgraduate qualification clinical diploma (or successful completion of the first year), or equivalent vocational experience.
