The Practice Operations Manager is a vital role tasked with supervising the everyday functions at a designated healthcare facility. The Practice Operations Manager serves as a crucial link between the practice team and the Assistant Practice Manager, ensuring effective communication and streamlined operational management.

Key Responsibilities

The primary duties of the Practice Operations Manager include:

  • Operational Oversight: Supervise daily activities to ensure seamless and effective operations.
  • Personnel Management: Oversee site staff, including scheduling, task delegation, and performance evaluation to maintain high productivity and quality of patient care.
  • Facility Oversight: Act as the initial point of contact for any maintenance and operational concerns, ensuring safety and meeting the needs of both staff and patients.
  • Patient Service Coordination: Manage patient services, including appointment scheduling and registration, to enhance patient flow and satisfaction.
  • Issue Resolution: Serve as the first point of contact for patient complaints, effectively resolving issues and continuously improving service quality.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety standards through regular inspections and collaboration with healthcare professionals to maintain a secure environment.
  • Communication and Reporting: Facilitate effective internal communication and compile reports on site activities, issues, and outcomes for the Assistant Practice Manager, providing insights for enhancements.
  • Leadership and Development: Provide direction and leadership to the site team, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor service quality, utilizing patient feedback and other metrics to implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Strategic Involvement: Play a significant role in the implementation of new policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with overall practice objectives.
