Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Ward Manager to lead our inpatient ward team. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, managing ward resources, and developing the skills of our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to the ward team, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective patient care.
- Manage ward resources, including staff, equipment, and supplies, to ensure efficient and effective operation.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
- Conduct regular audits and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
Person Specification
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Ward Manager who possesses:
Extensive post-registration experience in a surgical setting, preferably in an orthopaedic ward.Proven leadership and management skills, with experience of leading a team of nurses and healthcare assistants.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Ability to maintain accurate records and reports, and to analyze data to inform decision-making.What We Offer
