About the Role

Safran Seats is a leading manufacturer of premium seating and technology for the aerospace industry. We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Build Technician, responsible for supporting engineering and operational performance in our UK facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing engineering and operational performance during new product introduction and production processes to establish world-class operational performance in Safety, Quality, Productivity, Delivery, People Development, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering and operations teams to improve process and product quality assurance using A3/8D and PFMEA methodologies.
  • Participate in team-based Continuous Improvement activities to support engineering and operational development of world-class working practices.
  • Mentor, train, and support the continual development of direct employee skills, ensuring safe and efficient working practices are maintained daily.
  • Generate, audit, and maintain supporting engineering process documentation, such as PQA's, SOP's, and PVP's.

Requirements

  • Engineering NVQ level 2 or relevant manufacturing experience OR holds or working towards mechanical/electrical engineering ONC/HNC.
  • Previous manufacturing experience in NPI, quality assurance, and CI environments OR relevant engineering or manufacturing experience from a similar industry.
  • Problem-solving/quality assurance techniques such as 8D or PFMEA methodologies.
  • Computer literate with Microsoft packages, ERP systems, and CAD-based packages.
