Job Title: Inside Sales Account Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Account Manager to join our team at Gilson. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our consumables and instruments to customers and prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed established sales targets
  • Prospect for new business within target market segments
  • Maintain a comprehensive record of sales actions within our CRM system
  • Create quotations and pricing agreements, following pricing guidelines
  • Participate in required and recommended training sessions to obtain and maintain product knowledge
  • Maintain key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure full customer service and improve value selling opportunities

Support:

  • Follow up with in-house support on all customer inquiries regarding complaints and application questions
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution to all queries

General:

  • Able to conduct effective online demos
  • Utilize all aspects of our CRM software system
  • Responsible for attaining and maintaining technical knowledge to support customers
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Degree in Life Sciences or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Previous outbound phone sales experience with defined sales targets
  • Minimum 2 years' sales / inside sales experience in related industry preferred
  • Experience working in a life science lab preferred

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Computer proficiency required
  • CRM fluent for daily usage plus feeding and maintenance
  • Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to write business correspondence and reports
  • Confident, persuasive and winning phone presence
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts including discounts, percentages, and volume
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Comprehensive selling skills and techniques (including negotiation)
  • Ability to work independently, essential

Additional Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in selling capital equipment
  • Lab bench experience using pipettes

Language: Fluent in business English and French.

Travel: Up to 10% overnight travel potential.

Attendance: Regular attendance and punctuality.

Teamwork: Ability to work well with others.

Adaptability: Ability to acquire new skills and to accommodate change in the workplace.
