Payroll Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Subject Matter Expert to join our team at Legal & General. As a key member of our payroll operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the payroll leadership team in adapting and developing our existing payment processes and systems to accommodate ongoing changes and new requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams and vendors to specify business change requirements and ensure the successful implementation of changes to our payment systems.
- Provide expert technical support to internal customers, including leading hyper care for complex edge cases that require special attention.
- Undertake transaction monitoring to protect both Legal & General and our customers from financial loss.
- Authorise money out sign off and act as support/delegate for access and authorisation limit requests as appropriate.
- Ensure that the principles of Conduct Risk are embedded into your day-to-day operations, delivering good customer outcomes at all times.
- Identify areas of improvement and work within our processes and agile framework to enhance the customer journey.
- Cover aspects of team members' roles during absence, ensuring no impact on service or projects.
- Experience in a similar environment working on pension payrolls (10,000+ volume) and reconciliations of payrolls on a B2C and B2B basis.
- Ability to perform analysis and interpretation of financial and technical payroll data for reconciliation and query resolution.
