About the Role

Sentinel Performance Solutions Ltd, part of Aalberts hydronic flow control, is seeking a driven and ambitious Area Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing business relationships with key customers in the UK, France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, the USA, and other international territories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities with key customers, including Housing Associations, Local Authorities, Contractors, Heating Engineers, Regional Developers, OEM's, and Merchants.
  • Sales Growth: Continuously grow and maintain Sentinel specifications within these sectors, achieving agreed customer call ratios and exceeding set sales targets.
  • Customer Engagement: Ensure all meetings and customer activity are recorded on our CRM system, and develop and target new strategic business opportunities to achieve incremental sales growth.
  • Event Participation: Participate and present at customer events, including exhibitions, customer events, and company meetings, as required.
Requirements
  • Positive Attitude: Demonstrate a positive attitude with a key focus on achieving sales growth in a competitive environment.
  • Customer Interaction: Be able to interact at all customer levels, understand customer issues, and targets.
  • Communication Skills: Communicate effectively and efficiently at all levels, with a passion to succeed, showing enthusiasm and willingness to engage in all sales and team activities.
  • Territory Management: Manage a large territory, planning and preparation are key.
  • Technical Skills: Have a reasonable understanding of Microsoft programmes, including Excel and PowerPoint, with good presentation skills.
  • Industry Knowledge: Plumbing and heating industry knowledge is preferred but not essential.
  • Driving License: Hold a full UK Driving Licence (preferably clean).
