Company Overview:

TalentBox Caribbean is in search of an IT Officer to enhance our vibrant IT team. The selected candidate will be instrumental in delivering technical assistance and ensuring the operational efficiency and security of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Support:

  • Facilitate the installation and upkeep of hardware and software.
  • Offer technical assistance to staff members.
  • Oversee help desk inquiries and perform system evaluations.

2. User Account Oversight:

  • Assist in the creation and management of user accounts.
  • Ensure the integrity of access controls.
  • Administer user permissions and security configurations.

3. Network and System Management:

  • Support the maintenance of network infrastructure.
  • Monitor network functionality and manage data backups.
  • Assist with system updates and security patches.

4. IT Documentation and Asset Management:

  • Maintain comprehensive IT documentation and update asset inventories.
  • Document IT processes and protocols.

5. Cybersecurity Measures:

  • Support cybersecurity initiatives and conduct audits.
  • Monitor for potential security threats and respond appropriately.

6. Project Assistance:

  • Contribute to the planning and execution of IT projects.
  • Provide logistical support and engage in project discussions.
  • Track the progress of ongoing projects.

7. Training and User Education:

  • Deliver IT training sessions for employees.
  • Create and update training resources and user manuals.

8. Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Manage administrative tasks within the IT department.
  • Assist with budget monitoring and procurement activities.
  • Support compliance documentation and audits.

9. Additional Responsibilities:

  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry developments.
  • Engage in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • At least 1 year of experience in IT support or administration.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Understanding of networking principles and operating systems.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and multitasking capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
