Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our client's in-house legal team in Bristol. As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a key role in providing legal advice and support to the business, working closely with senior stakeholders and managing a team of early-career lawyers.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and support to the business on a range of matters, including commercial contracts, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage a team of 2 early-career lawyers, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and expertise.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to understand business needs and provide tailored legal solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in the law and regulatory requirements, and provide guidance to the business on how to comply.
  • Contribute to the development of the legal function, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance the team's performance.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in law, with a focus on commercial law and employment law.
  • Experience of working in an in-house legal team, preferably in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise legal advice.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
