Job Description

Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Water Treatment

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our water treatment projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the water supply industry and experience in managing MEICA quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full life cycle responsibility for MEICA quality and consistency, from project need establishment to commissioning handover.
  • Outline design and guiding standards for project engineers to provide early MEICA delivery input into design development/optioneering.
  • Meet with heads of design to review quality, timeliness, and consistency of design production.
  • Develop relationships with designers and supply chain to improve delivery.
  • Support programme managers with resource planning, MEICA key issues, and oversight of MEICA construction issues and quality.
  • Management responsibility for project engineers and M&E supervisors framework wide.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered in accordance with national and local technical standards.
  • Meet with MEICA teams on a regular basis to review performance and feedback.
  • Implement methods and processes to drive out excellence into all projects.
  • Provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues.
  • Identify potential risks related to mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation systems.
  • Diligent planning of the Southern Water SCO procedure to ensure site compliance is maintained.
  • Chair meetings to demonstrate that risks have been reviewed and mitigated.
  • Be fully conversant with MEICA subcontractor contract conditions and any risks associated with their process or methodology.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered with zero H&S and environmental incidents and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the CMDP Health, Safety & Welfare and Environmental Policies.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience of the water supply industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction contract law and forms of contract through experience and formal training.
