Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Planning Specialist to join our team at Anglo Technical Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for managing the development and maintenance of project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project schedules, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
  • Engage with the delivery team and key stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of project scope, identifying critical paths, dependencies, and potential risks.
  • Monitor project progress, tracking key milestones, and providing regular updates to project stakeholders.
  • Identify potential delays, conflicts, or resource constraints and propose appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct regular progress meetings, coordinating with project teams to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting.
  • Evaluate and improve planning processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide support during project audits and reviews, ensuring compliance with project schedules and contractual obligations.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to project planning.
  • Understand the contractual arrangements of the programme and ensure that they are not compromised due to planning issues and providing scenario plans for mitigation.
  • Provide support and advice to site, construction, and delivery teams.
  • Attend project meetings, present project information and update of the programme.

Requirements:

  • Experience of Project Management methodologies and tools.
  • Knowledge of NEC.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning and scheduling within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Proficient in using planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, construction processes, and engineering methodologies.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
