About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Goalkeeper Coach to join our Liverpool FC Foundation team. As a Foundation Phase Goalkeeper Coach, you will be responsible for developing and delivering coaching sessions for goalkeepers across various sites. Your primary goal will be to create a multi-disciplinary environment that maximizes the development of goalkeepers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver coaching sessions for goalkeepers in line with the LFC Foundation goalkeeping coaching program.
- Liaise with the age group coach and player development lead to ensure a cohesive approach to goalkeeping development.
- Keep records of player progression and produce reports for players, parents, and coaches.
- Work collaboratively with phase coaches to ensure a smooth transition for players as they progress through the pathway.
- Strengthen the goalkeeping pathway by providing structured opportunities for players.
- Attend relevant in-service training and CPD updates to stay current with best practices.
- Participate in Multi-Disciplinary Team and staff meetings to ensure alignment with the club's goals.
- Develop and support individual player development plans.
- Ensure awareness and adherence to safeguarding policies and best practices.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have recent and relevant experience in a sports performance environment. You will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as being reliable, conscientious, and flexible. You will understand the pressures and commitments required for players and be able to provide support strategies for their emotional needs.
You will be able to demonstrate the ability to create a positive working relationship with all key stakeholders and work collaboratively in a team environment. You will have the ability to create an ethos that promotes high aspirations and achievement for all.
Essential Qualifications
- FA Level 2 Goalkeeping
- FA Level 1 Outfield
- FA Safeguarding Children
- Up-to-date Emergency Aid in Football
