About the Role

The Liverpool Football Club Foundation is seeking a skilled and experienced Goalkeeper Coach to join our team in a casual capacity. As a Goalkeeper Coach, you will be responsible for developing and delivering coaching sessions for goalkeepers across various age groups, ensuring a multi-disciplinary environment that maximizes their development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop session plans for goalkeeper coaching sessions in line with the LFC Foundation Philosophy.
  • Liaise with the age group coach and player development lead on all matters related to goalkeepers.
  • Keep records of players' progression and produce reports for players, parents, and other coaches.
  • Work with phase coaches to ensure a smooth transition for players as they progress through the pathway.
  • Strengthen the goalkeeping pathway with structured opportunities.
  • Attend relevant In-Service training for Coaches and CPD updates.
  • Attend Multi-Disciplinary Team and staff meetings.
  • Devise and support delivery of Individual player development plans.
  • Ensure awareness and adherence to Safeguarding and best practice policies.
  • Ensure the safety of participants, volunteers, and staff is always prioritized.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have recent and relevant professional experience in a sports performance environment. You will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as being reliable, conscientious, and flexible. You will understand the pressures and commitments required for players and the importance of support strategies for players' emotional needs.

Essential qualifications for the role include:

  • FA Level 2 Goalkeeping
  • FA Level 1 Outfield
  • FA Safeguarding Children
  • Up-to-date Emergency Aid in Football
