Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Wellbeing and Public Health Officer to join our team at Essex County Council. As a key member of our Public Health team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies to improve the mental wellbeing of people across Essex.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement public health strategies to improve mental wellbeing
  • Build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver integrated activity
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement across organisations
  • Communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including internal and external partners
  • Manage change in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment

Requirements

  • Educated to degree level and/or appropriate professional qualification relevant to the field
  • Proven track record of delivering outcomes
  • Ability to communicate clearly and inspire stakeholders
  • Knowledge and experience of commissioning, project life cycle, and related activities
  • Experience of working in a political environment and managing change
