Fleet Systems Engineer

Join Arriva Rail London Ltd as a Fleet Systems Engineer and take on a challenging role that combines technical expertise with business acumen. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering and supporting dynamic fleet decision support tools, leveraging technology and systems to enhance the Fleet Engineering team's capabilities.
About the Role:
- Own and manage the delivery and ongoing support of dynamic fleet decision support tools.
- Work closely with depot staff across the London Overground to ensure accurate and up-to-date data within decision support tools.
- Identify new or emerging trends that may impact fleet incident handling and support the performance team in data gathering and post-incident reviews.
- Collaborate with the Fleet Control Manager and Maintainer to identify areas for development or improvement within decision support tools.
- Act as a champion for continuous improvement in fleet incident management and supporting processes.
Requirements:
- Engineering Degree or Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent experience working in a Train Operating Company.
- Experience of fleet maintenance in an operational depot capacity, as well as strong knowledge of rolling stock, specifically operating principles of modern Electric Multiple Unit (EMU).
- Experience of working within Rail Industry legal framework, including group and industry standards and Railways and Other Guided Transport Systems (ROGS) as well as knowledge of industry governance frameworks.
- Knowledge of the Arriva Rail London (London Overground) and Network Rail route geography.
