Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at ABM. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for providing planned maintenance, minor upgrades, and reactive support to our sites. This is a unique opportunity to work on a multi-building site with a diverse range of facilities, including historic and modern buildings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a positive relationship with clients, stakeholders, colleagues, and contractors.
  • Carry out weekly and monthly planned maintenance tasks, including water hygiene testing, emergency lighting testing, and fabric maintenance.
  • Perform minor fabric works, including painting, tiling, and basic carpentry.
  • Investigate and rectify drainage issues.
  • Update maintenance records and logbooks.
  • Perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
  • Maintain site stock levels.
  • Escort sub-contractors on site and follow up on remedial issues.
  • Comply with ABM's quality, environmental, and health and safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in an occupied premises.
  • Honest and trustworthy with excellent communication skills.
  • IT literate on Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to work at height.
  • Committed to achieving high standards of workmanship and taking pride in your work.
  • Ability to carry out multi-skilled tasks.
  • Flexible with working hours and overtime.
  • Safe working practices, adhering to ABM's H&S policies and procedures.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • L8 water hygiene qualified.
  • IPAF/PASMA qualified.
  • IOSH H&S qualified or similar.
  • C&G or equivalent in trade-related skills.
  • Ability to review suppliers' RAMS.
  • Previous experience of fire door inspections beneficial.
