About the Role

Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Sister/Charge Nurse to join our team at Mynydd Mawr Rehabilitation Unit in Prince Philip Hospital.

The successful candidate will provide professional leadership and management to support the Ward Manager, working in a 15-bed unit providing rehabilitation with a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) approach.

Main Responsibilities

  • Combine excellent clinical practice with day-to-day shift coordination and leadership responsibilities.
  • Support and work in conjunction with the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse, including deputising/taking charge of the clinical area/team.
  • Provide supervisory management and leadership skills in a clinical environment.
  • Work alongside the nursing team members and MDT, providing support to junior colleagues in the provision of direct care.
  • Contribute to the implementation of the NMC Standards for education, including the standards for student supervision and assessment.
  • Provide leadership and role modelling in the development and mentorship of new and other staff.
