PhD Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative postdoctoral researcher to join our team at Rothamsted Research. As a key member of our international project, One Crop Health, you will play a crucial role in reducing the impact of agriculture on the environment.
About the ProjectOne Crop Health is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a new approach to sustainable farming. You will be part of a research team that will study alternative methods to reduce pesticide use, working closely with partners at the universities of Copenhagen and Aarhus in Denmark.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a field sampling campaign across the UK, collecting data on pests, weeds, and diseases.
- Work with a field team to study the ecology of agricultural fields and contribute to high-impact papers in world-class journals.
- Collaborate with an international team to analyze large combined datasets of farmland ecology across the UK and Denmark.
- PhD in a biological or environmental science discipline.
- Passion for the environment and an interest in sustainable farming.
- Experience in field sampling and analysis of biological data.
- Track record in scientific writing and communication.

This is a 5-year fixed-term appointment with a salary in the range of £31,350-£32,315 p.a.
