Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Morgan Jones Limited. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our state-of-the-art machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform mechanical fault finding and troubleshooting on pumps, gearboxes, lathes, grinding, and boring machines.
  • Conduct machine strip downs and rebuilds for preventive maintenance, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards.
  • Carry out mechanical installations, including pipe fitting and machinery moves, with minimal disruption to production.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults on single and three-phase systems, using your expertise to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Complete electrical installations, including panel building and PAT testing, to ensure all equipment is safe and compliant.
  • Program PID temperature controllers and ensure safe isolation and lockout procedures are followed at all times.
  • Support planned and reactive maintenance across the site, working closely with colleagues to ensure all tasks are completed on time and to budget.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, escalating faults as necessary to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with sub-contractors on maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards.
  • Manage spare parts and assist with ordering to minimize downtime and ensure all equipment is available when needed.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a maintenance or repair engineer role within a high-tech or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems (single and three-phase).
  • Fabrication experience, machinery repair, and preventive maintenance skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical technical drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
  • Familiarity with CAD, MS Office, and MS Project software.
