About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at AMETEK Aerospace and Defense MRO Group. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out site repairs and modifications on both mechanical and electrical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out site repairs and modifications on both mechanical and electrical equipment
- Undertake mechanical tasks such as fault finding, machine strip downs and rebuilds, and planned and preventive maintenance
- Undertake electrical tasks such as fault finding, electrical installation work, and planned and preventive maintenance
- Create risk assessments and method statements prior to commencing work activities
- Accurately record and document maintenance activities using the maintenance system
- Escalate any faults and provide regular progress updates to the facilities manager
- Perform out of hours working to support critical maintenance, breakdowns, and project work as required
- Participate in the creation of standard working documents and local instructions
- Work with sub-contractors to assist with maintenance, repairs, and modifications to plant and equipment
- Assist with the control, ordering, and replenishment of spare parts and components
Requirements
- Proven relevant experience working within maintenance or repairs engineer role
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems (both single and three phase)
- Mechanical experience of maintaining plant equipment
- Experience undertaking general fabrication work (mechanical and electrical)
- Able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical technical drawings
- Proven ability to fault find on electrical and mechanical systems
