Job Title: Head of Manager Research

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Research Integrity professional to join our growing Research Integrity team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in implementing our Research Integrity strategy across a large portfolio of hybrid and open access journals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement policies, processes, and resources to ensure the highest standards of research integrity and publication ethics.
  2. Lead the resolution of publication ethics cases, collaborating with Editorial, Peer Review, and Production teams.
  3. Develop and maintain resources around research integrity matters to support the Research Integrity Team and Editorial colleagues.
  4. Supervise the investigation of authors, reviewers, or editors where ethical problems are suspected or identified.
  5. Provide regular reports on case work to senior leaders, highlighting trends and emerging issues.
  6. Participate in industry projects and working groups, promoting research integrity work externally.
Requirements
  1. Excellent understanding of research, publication ethics, and industry best practices.
  2. Proven experience in managing a team of research integrity specialists and overseeing a global, diverse portfolio of journals.
  3. Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple expectations from diverse stakeholders.
  4. Experience in navigating complex ethical issues and managing sensitive situations with confidence, discretion, and good judgment.
