Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer Team Lead to join our team at Centrica. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of electrical systems for our distributed generation and renewables projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of electrical systems for HV/LV distribution power systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Develop and implement design solutions for installing electrical interfaces into existing site equipment
  • Design and develop detailed designs, including drawings, specifications, and risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards and regulations
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on HV/LV distribution power systems
  • Strong understanding of commercial/industrial LV electrical systems
  • Excellent knowledge of key Electrical HV/LV British Standards
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and cable sizing software
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels and teams
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working on solar PV projects
  • Knowledge of control systems for power management
  • Experience with solar design software
  • Knowledge of plant layout, cable design, and solar frame design
