Cell and Gene Therapy Manufacturing Director

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Advanced Cell Therapy Operations team at Lifelancer Ltd. As an Experienced Cell Therapy Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of a broad and evolving portfolio of Advanced Cell Therapies across multiple Advanced Cell Therapy Units.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Provide national leadership for the delivery of advanced cell therapy manufacturing across multiple sites, aligning with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with regional team Heads, quality assurance colleagues, and external customers and partners to navigate the interface between quality assurance and science and technology.
- Operational Strategy: Develop and deliver operational strategies that build on Lifelancer Ltd's core competencies to position the company as a provider of choice for advanced cell therapies to UK and international customers.
- Workforce Development: Provide scientific and regulatory knowledge to help continuously develop Lifelancer Ltd's workforce, ensuring the company remains at the cutting edge of technological innovation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Develop strong, credible relationships with key stakeholders, including academic, commercial, NHS, regulatory, and grant-awarding organizations.
- Project Delivery: Work closely with the Heads of Cell Therapy Units, the Head of CBC (Molecular Therapies), the National Operations Manager, and the Head of Business Development to deliver agreed projects on time and in budget.
- Experience: Extensive experience in developing and manufacturing MHRA regulated cell and or gene-based therapies.
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of relevant policies and standards, including MHRA Good Manufacturing Practice, HTA TQSR, and other relevant or statutory guidelines.
- Management Experience: Management experience in a relevant laboratory or operational environment, with a proven track record of managing workload and staff to ensure effective service provision.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrable leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of Cell and Gene Therapy Science, with experience of working with Information Technology using Microsoft Office packages.
- Qualifications: PhD in a field relevant to cell and gene therapies, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
