Position Overview:
Our esteemed client, a prominent player in the Maritime and Defence sector, is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Specialist to enhance their team on a contractual basis.

Work Arrangement:
This role offers a hybrid working model, allowing flexibility in your work location.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop precise and detailed mechanical schematics for hardware initiatives utilizing advanced CAD software.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to transform innovative concepts into thorough technical documentation, ensuring adherence to the established change management protocols.
- Evaluate and refine mechanical designs to optimize performance, manufacturability, and overall efficiency.
- Actively participate in design evaluations, providing critical feedback to elevate the quality and effectiveness of mechanical documentation.
- Select suitable materials and finishes, taking into account durability, cost-effectiveness, and project specifications.
- Engage in a cooperative team atmosphere, contributing to the successful execution of diverse hardware projects.
- Undertake a range of mechanical drafting responsibilities that demonstrate your flexibility and resourcefulness.
- Attend both internal and external discussions, sharing your expertise to influence project trajectories.
- Maintain systematic documentation in compliance with operational procedures, implementing modifications through the established change management process.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in producing detailed mechanical schematics, showcasing meticulous attention to detail and technical expertise.
- Comprehensive understanding of industry standards and best practices in mechanical drafting.
- Proficiency in CAD tools, empowering you to create precise and thorough drawings.
- A quick learner with a versatile and adaptable mindset towards mechanical drafting challenges.
- Familiarity with design evaluations and the capability to provide insightful contributions to enhance documentation.
