About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a strong network of sources within the football industry, including players, coaches, and other key figures.
  • Write high-quality, engaging articles and features that showcase your expertise and passion for the sport.
  • Conduct interviews with key figures in the football world, and write compelling profiles and features.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest news and developments in the football world, and provide timely and accurate reporting.
  • Work collaboratively with our team of writers and editors to produce high-quality content.
  • Develop and maintain a strong online presence, including social media and other digital platforms.
  • Participate in live journalism and other events to engage with our audience and promote our content.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a sports journalism or media company.
  • Thorough knowledge of professional football and Leeds United, including their history, players, and coaches.
  • Excellent writing and reporting skills, with the ability to produce high-quality content under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and sources.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
