**Job Summary**
East Renfrewshire Council is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Janitor/Cleaner. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive janitorial service to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of our premises.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of designated areas within the premises, including toilets and shower areas.
- Oversee and supervise cleaning staff as required, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards are maintained.
- Carry out cleaning, washing, sweeping, and vacuum cleaning duties using approved cleaning agents and equipment.
- Ensure the security of the premises and its contents, including the maintenance and operation of plant.
- Contribute to the overall maintenance and upkeep of the premises, including reporting any maintenance issues to the facilities management team.
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience in a janitorial or facilities management role.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Flexibility to work a varied shift pattern, including evenings and weekends.
**Working with Children:**
