About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated School Staff Nurse to join our team at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a School Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of children and young people in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a school nursing caseload for a group of schools, working closely with Band 6 SCPHN School Nurses and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide health assessments, classroom teaching, and safeguarding services to students and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with professionals from multiple agencies to meet the health needs of children and young people.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with schools, families, and community partners.
  • Contribute to the provision of safe and reliable services by using clinical judgment and risk assessments.
  • Escalate safety concerns and act as an effective advocate for those who use our services.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Registered nurse (RN1) qualification and current NMC registration.
  • Flexible approach to working hours to meet the needs of service delivery.
  • Positive attitude with strong degree of personal integrity.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good IT skills.
