Job Title: Night Network Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Night Network Service Technician at Thames Water.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and customer-facing environment, resolving network challenges to ensure minimal disruption to customer supply. As a Night Network Service Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Taking ownership of customer queries and resolving issues at their homes or places of work.
  • Collaborating with contractors to perform planned and unplanned work, investigating clean water networks to resolve poor performance.
  • Helping to control burst mains, ensuring isolation for planned work, emergency repairs, and maintenance.
  • Managing valve operations and water sampling, as well as valve checks and planning.
  • Working effectively within a team, covering core and standby hours through all hours of the day.
  • Driving daily, requiring a full UK driving licence and the ability to drive between jobs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent customer service experience.
  • A can-do and positive attitude.
  • Initiative-taking skills.
  • Ability to complete tasks to the best of your ability.
  • Excellent time management.
  • A solution-focused attitude.
  • Basic knowledge of domestic plumbing or water mains and leakage (advantageous but not essential, as full training is provided).
  • Previous customer service experience in a constantly changing environment.
