About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our team at Planet Pharma. As a Research Scientist - Biomarkers Assay Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and validating ligand binding assays and immunoassays for biomarkers and gene therapy targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize ligand binding assays and immunoassays for biomarkers and gene therapy targets
- Validate assay performance and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the progression of novel drug candidates through various stages of discovery and development
- Present data at multi-disciplinary project team meetings and understand the underlying biology and therapeutic approach of the programs you are supporting
Requirements:
- BSc, MSc, or PhD in a biological discipline
- 3+ years' experience of working in a laboratory environment
- Proven experience running ligand binding assays/immunoassays and/or demonstrable skills in development and validation of such assays
- Excellent communication skills and ability to solve complex analytical challenges
