Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our Biomarker Assay Sciences LBA group on a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and validating ligand binding assays/immunoassays for biomarkers and gene therapy targets.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and optimize ligand binding assays/immunoassays for biomarkers and gene therapy targets
- Validate assays to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to understand the underlying biology and therapeutic approach of the programmes
- Transfer methods to external partners as required
- Maintain laboratory equipment to high standards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- BSc, MSc, or PhD in a biological discipline
- Experience of working in a laboratory environment
- Proven experience running ligand binding assays/immunoassays (e.g. ELISA, MSD, ELLA, Gyros, Singulex, Simoa/Quanterix)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to solve complex analytical challenges
