About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our team as a Clinical Lead for our Psychological Wellbeing Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and supervision to our Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of our service strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical Leadership
    • Provide clinical supervision to Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of our service strategy
    • Lead on the development and delivery of clinical training and education programs

    • Contribute to the development and implementation of our service strategy
    • Lead on the development and delivery of service improvement initiatives
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address service gaps and needs
  • Collaboration and Partnership
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including primary care professionals, secondary care services, and community organizations

Requirements
  • Qualifications
    • Post Graduate/Graduate Certificate in Psychological Wellbeing Practice (Low intensity)
  • Knowledge and Experience
    • Post qualifying experience of working with people in a mental health primary care setting
    • Ability to demonstrate a range of post-qualifying experiences in offering and delivering the range of evidence-based IAPT low intensity interventions such as guided self-help and group psycho-education
    • Substantial experience of screening, assessing and working with a wide spectrum of mental health issues and working with people with mild to moderate common mental health problems
    • Substantial experience of risk assessment and management/referral on
    • Substantial experience of multi-disciplinary teamwork
    • Experience of providing supervision to qualified and trainee PWP
    • Good understanding of models of assessment, screening, referral, record-keeping and evidence based brief psychological intervention
    • Demonstrates an understanding of anxiety and depression and how it may present in Primary Care
    • Understands how IAPT is delivered and the key challenges and opportunities this delivery model presents for both the service and practitioners
